How it works
You’ve never built a website. Good — you won’t have to.
Here’s the entire process, in plain English. At no point will you be asked to configure, install, or troubleshoot anything. That’s the job you’re hiring us for.
You tell us what you need
It starts with you telling us about your business — what you want the site to do, and what success looks like for you. Email, text, or however suits you.
You don't need to know any technical terms. “Customers should be able to book a time and pay a deposit” is a perfect brief.
You get back a written, fixed-price proposal: exactly what's included, what it costs, and how long it will take. No hourly rates, no open-ended estimates.
Work starts once you approve the proposal and pay a 50% deposit, with the balance due at handover.
We build and set up everything
Before we create anything, you sign a short authorisation that lets us set up accounts on your behalf, using your email and details.
We then set up every service your site needs — hosting, database, domain, and any others — logged in as you, in your name. Nothing is ever created on our accounts.
Any account with an ongoing cost has your payment method on it from the start, billed directly to you at the provider's normal price. We never mark up hosting or services.
While we build, you see progress at a private preview link and can give feedback along the way.
We hand you the keys
At launch, every login and credential is delivered to you through a secure password manager vault — never over email.
We do a 20–30 minute handover call, recorded so you can rewatch it, walking through where everything lives and how to use it.
You change the passwords, which means from that moment we can't access anything unless you let us back in.
You receive a one-page “what you own and where it lives” document in plain English: every account, what it does, and what it costs.
We're here if it breaks
For 30 days after launch, any genuine bug — something in the agreed scope that doesn't work as it should — is fixed free. No arguments, no invoices.
After that, the optional Care Plan covers bug fixes, small tweaks, and security updates for a small monthly fee, with standing access agreed so we can act fast.
Prefer no ongoing plan? No problem. You own everything, and if something ever needs attention you can hire us per fix — or hire anyone else. That's what ownership means.
To keep things fair, a “bug” is something broken that was in the original scope. New functionality is a change, quoted in writing before any work starts.
The handover, guaranteed
What “handing you the keys” actually means
Ownership isn't a vibe — it's a checklist. Every build ends with all of this, every time:
- A signed authorisation before we create anything on your behalf
- Every account — hosting, domain, database — created with your email and details
- Your payment method on every account with an ongoing cost, from day one
- All credentials delivered through a secure password manager, never email
- A recorded handover call and a plain-English “what you own” document
- You change every password — from then on, access is yours to grant
One honest exception: payment accounts (like Stripe) legally require the business owner’s own identity and bank details, so that account must be created by you. It takes about 15 minutes, and on Custom builds we guide you through it step by step.
Sound like the way it should work?
It is. Tell us what you need and we’ll map it to a package and a fixed price.
